The present investigation was carried out in the header of the Llaucano and Jequetepeque basins, and aimed to identify the biologic features of the benthic macroinvertebrates of the Lagunas Alto Perú, Cajamarca - 2018. In order to generate information that helps to the care and conservation of this place. The lack of studies of these organisms in these lentic bodies, and the possible destruction of these wetlands due to extractive polymetallic mining due to the fact that currently the area occupied by these bodies of water is under concession and destined for mining exploitation. The project was framed in the design of non-experimental, cross-descriptive research. For the evaluation and identification of the Bentonic Macroinvertebrates, a campaign was established on two dates, one on May 5, 2017 and the second on June 5 of the same year, where 15 sampling points were established in different lagoons in the area. study. These organisms were identified up to the family taxonomic level using different collection techniques from the guide of Aquatic Organisms of Peru called Collection Methods, Identification and analysis of biological communities: plant, profile, benthos (macroinvertebrates) and nekton (fish) in waters Peru, such as the D-net network method, manual collection, on the other hand, the artificial means method was also used. The results obtained after having used the different collection methods already mentioned and having been analyzed in the laboratory, yielded 14 species of benthic macroinvertebrates such as Hyalellidae, Tubificidae, Erpobdellidae, Dugesiidae, Hydrachnidae, Gyrinidae, Dytiscidae, Chironomidae, Tipulidae, Ephydridae, Aeshnidae, Corixidae, Isomatidae, and Chordodidea which were identified up to the taxonomic level of families, being Chironomidae the most frequent species since it was found in 14 sampling points out of a total of 15. At the same time an analysis of the biological features such as habitat, type of feeding, length and the shape of their bodies, where it was determined that the most outstanding are the families of predators, the habitat is of the swimmer type, the greater length of said families is 30 mm and Its predominant form is the cylindrical type.
