The designs corresponding to the articles analyzed were: non-experimental and correlational. As a result, the different evidences of the attribution of intellectual capital in the competitiveness of the companies were identified, it is also estimated that there is a positive and significant impact of the correct management of the intellectual resources of the organizations. The main conclusion obtained in the investigations was that the intellectual capital is related and has a positive impact on the competitiveness of companies, but does not directly influence the competitiveness of the different areas of the companies, although the mediating elements vary mainly from the the company. As limitations of this investigation, it is important to note the quantity and generality of the databases where the search for reports was made, since these characteristics probably reduced the amount of research that could be accessed.
