The objective of this research is to evaluate the turbidity removal using a natural coagulant, which was extracted from passion fruit seed Passiflora edulis, and model solutions with different levels of turbidity were used. We chose parameters such as the dose (5ml - 15ml), granulometry of the seed (fine and coarse) and levels of turbidity (85 NTU - 230NTU) as factors that can influence the coagulation process, for the simulation of this process, the jug test method is modified using constant parameters such as time, stirring speed and settling time. The results in the removal of turbidity using a level of 85 NTU, have been favorable with the parameters of a dose of 5ml of coagulant, with a fine granulometry of seed and with the level of turbidity of 230 NTU, better results were obtained with a 15ml dose and coarse granulometry of the seed, reaching more than 60% and 80% turbidity removal respectively. From this study it can be concluded that this coagulant is a sustainable alternative for water purification.
