The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between video game addiction and aggressiveness among high school students of a public institution in Metropolitan Lima, 2022. A sample of 832 high school students was considered as a sample, considering that the study was oriented by a non-experimental type, a correlational design and a cross-sectional scope. Likewise, the measurement instruments for the collection of information were the video game addiction scale by Cholíz and Marco (2011) validated by Salas-Blas, et al. (2017) and the Aggressiveness questionnaire by Buss and Perry (1992) validated by Matalinares, et al. (2012). From the statistical analysis performed, it was identified as a result that there is a statistically significant correlation between the variables video game addiction and aggressiveness. And this correlation is low positive (Rho = ,380), identifying, at the same time, significant correlation between addiction and the dimensions of aggressiveness: physical aggression (Rho = ,400; p = .000), verbal aggression (Rho = ,321; p = ,000), hostility (Rho = ,260; p = ,000) and with anger (Rho = ,292; p = ,000). We conclude that the greater the addiction to video games, the greater the aggressiveness.
