The objective of this instigation work was to design and distribute the plant to improve the productivity of metal structure manufacturing processes in a metalworking company. The research is of an applied type, with a pre-experimental design. As a result, a reduction was achieved in the meters traveled by the operators between the different areas in the 1981 production workshop, 39 meters which were initially taken at 1256.71 corresponding to the stage after the implementation of the tools, which represents a variation of 36.6%. Regarding the space used in the production workshop of 311.23 square meters which were initially taken to 286.71 corresponding to the stage after the implementation of the tools, this represents a variation to the improvement of 7.9% and also, the improvement in the use of labor in the workshop, thus reducing the number of 11 workers interacting in the manufacture of structures, to a number of 9 workers, this represents a variation of 18.18%. As a consequence of the implementation of the improvements through the tools, it was possible to increase the total productivity of the manufacturing workshop from 69.1% obtained in the Pre Test stage to an improved productivity of 81.2%. Finally, the cash flow analysis was carried out, where it was possible to know the indicator of the most probable state with a NPV of S / 136,515.87, the IRR of 147% and an IR of S /. 7.01. With these results it can be concluded that the project is feasible.
