ABSTRACT This study aimed to design and implement a monitoring and control system procurement, to reduce the delay in delivery of purchase orders Minera Yanacocha S.R.L. Supply chain company, has different areas including purchases have, contracts, planning, storage, etc., the shopping area operations, received several complaints from users since there was a good percentage of purchase orders further delays to 30, 60 and 90 days, on the other hand there was a poor use of the portal SRM from suppliers and which neither knew all delivery requirements in the logistics operator. All this stagnating flow delivery of orders and thus generated losses for user areas. The development of this study was based on the methodology Just in Time, considering five phases for the design and implementation of the proposal, these phases are: launching, mentalizing, process improvement, improved control and customer - supplier relationship. For data analysis technology tools such as SAP ERP platform that allowed us to get reports of pending deliveries, ranges delayed deliveries and perform daily monitoring of outstanding purchase orders were used. SRM portal a tool that facilitated interaction between suppliers, the logistics operator and shopping area of the company was also used. The proposed improvements include establishing an initial assessment of the state of the monitoring and control of purchase orders is, do an analysis to identify the causes of delays, raise process improvement regarding the system, monitor the progress and development of proposed, and recommend hiring a specialist to take over the system. With the design and implementation of the control system and monitoring purchases, a significant reduction was achieved in delays purchase orders as the final control report showed that the total outstanding lines 92% were within attention on the agreed purchase order, while only 8% had less than 15 days late. For such results, providers were trained in the use of SRM portal and the requirements for delivery of goods in the logistics business operator, specifying 95% of trained providers.
