ABSTRACT In the present research weapproach essential topics to understanding the implications and importance of the information pluralism, as a right derived from freedom of expression and information. Against the existence of an economic phenomen on called “business concentrations” which it tend stores trict the number of media companies holders of the written media in Peru. On this fundament is evident that there are two points in this research , the first one is about business concentrations; produced by mergers and purchases of shares between media companies both in its economic and legal aspect, and the second one about concerning the implications that mergers and purchase of shares in the information pluralism right, taking into consideration the sensitivity of the sector (written media), bearing in mind that our economic model doesn‟t prohibit monopolies and our Constitution hosts an economy model of social market It recalls that the market sets it sown rules but is the state, through hits regulations, which protects the individual and the general interest of citizens. Without this can mean much disproportionately intervention in the regulation of business concentrations , or should refrain from intervening in the control of information ; but rather a warming state , pending on abuses and needs of citizens . Finally, I join to the objetive of similar critics, in favor of information pluralism in terms of concentration of written media.
