The purpose of this research project was to determine the compressive and flexural strength of compacted adobe with the addition of used motor oil and residual cooking oil at 1%, 1.25% and 1.5%. The study approach is quantitative, with a sample of 140 adobe blocks, 70 adobe blocks for the compression test and 70 adobe blocks for the flexural test. The results obtained for the compressive strength test showed that the addition of used motor oil increased by 10.47%, and the addition of residual cooking oil increased by 18.35%. In relation to the results of the flexural strength test with the addition of used engine oil, it increases by 8.96%, as for, the addition of residual cooking oil, it increases by 15.86 %. In summary, the addition of used motor oil and residual cooking oil increases the mechanical capacity of the compacted adobe, thus surpassing the hypothesis proposed, reaching strengths greater than 7%.
