ABSTRACT In the present work of scientific research shows the improvement in the production processes in the company Derivados de la Madera S.R.L. to increase their productivity as much as possible by using different scientific methods such as: Guercht Method. As far as the distribution of the plant is concerned, this is due to the fact that the current distribution was not designed with any type of engineering methodology but was only designed quickly and with an intuition that the machines are being located in the better position, reflected in a surface of installation of the production area of 1,168 m², The problems that exist in the company for this form of distribution is mainly the distance to travel either by materials, tools and stations, we can see that in the passages are full of waste or surplus raw material which operators have difficulty in transit as much as materials may have stumbling blocks and do their jobs with difficulty which generates waste of time, which demands a higher cost for the company. Also due to the downtime that exists in the production area, which could be improved with a new distribution and thus improve productivity and reduce costs for the benefit of the company. With the implementation of the improvement design, it was possible to develop a better use of their spaces (1068 m²) and improve their productivity by reducing their movement times between machines, which were reflected in their production indicators. The project for the company is beneficial.
