This work seeks to address one of the current problems that is faced in the educational field of psychology. At present, it must be recognized that the vast majority of students using the internet there are cybercabins that facilitate their access to the game and therefore to the most popular games. The objective of this study is to determine the level of dependence on video games in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students of a state school in Metropolitan Lima during 2021, in addition to determining its dimensions and comparing the results by gender and by grade. The methodology used was quantitative - basic, descriptive - comparative, with a nonexperimental - cross-sectional design, with a sample of 321 students. Among the main results, moderate levels were found in 3 of the 4 dimensions, Abstinence (50.2%), Abuse and tolerance (52.3%) and difficulty in control (51.1%) and a low level in the dimension problems related to video games (53.6%). Therefore, it is concluded that adolescents in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade of secondary school have moderate levels of dependency (54.2%).
