The objective of this thesis is to determine the impact of the Proposal for Improvement of the Production and Logistics areas to reduce the operating costs of the footwear company “Yomilé”. To carry out this, a diagnostic stage will first be developed where the following techniques will be used: Ishikawa Diagram, Prioritization Matrix, Pareto Diagram, and Indicator Matrix, and from that it was identified that currently the losses generated by the area Logistics are 68,400.00 soles and represent 43% of total losses; while the losses caused by the Production area are 91,403.30 soles and represent 57% of the total losses. Then, a proposal for improvement will be made through the application of tools, focused on reducing operational costs that are currently subject to the company. Subsequently, as results, it can be said that through the implementation of a supplier evaluation, supplier re-evaluation, time study, training plan and reuse of raw materials, economic benefits of 159,803.3 soles were obtained, with only an investment of 79,908.00 soles. Thus, the implementation of this Improvement Proposal in the Footwear company “Yomilé” is profitable; since the NPV, being equal to 296,363.98 soles (result greater than 0), reflects that the current net profit is much greater than the investment. In the same way, the TIR indicator shows us that the return on investment is 174%. Finally, it can be said that this project is viable, given that the Benefit / Cost ratio is greater than one, which means that, for each cost sun, I get 1.74 more soles for profit.
