The purpose of this research work was to determine the impact of a proposal for the implementation of quality control tools and process standardization in reducing costs of a dairy derivatives company in Trujillo city, 2020. First, it was carried out a diagnosis using quality control tools that identified and prioritized the absence of trained personnel, the lack of equipment in good condition, the lack of maintenance of equipment and instruments, the lack of established procedures, the lack of visual diagrams, inadequate monitoring of temperature, the lack of time control and the absence of a digital database. The monetization of the initial loss adds up to a total of S / 3,424.91 per month, for which improvement tools were designed such as a training plan, an autonomous maintenance plan, a procedure manual, the standardization of times and a digital database. Favorable results were obtained from this proposal, managing to reduce 86.90% of the initial loss, representing a monthly saving of S / 2,976.21. The feasibility of this implementation proposal was calculated through the economic-financial evaluation and its respective financial indicators: a NPV of S / 17,265.24, an IRR of 60.52%, a recovery period of approximately 2 months, and a benefit / cost of 2.69.
