Stoppages in production due to lack of materials, operators or machines is a recurring problem in many companies. The main objective of this thesis is to measure the influence of the design of a manufacturing resource planning system on labor productivity in a company dedicated to the manufacture of melamine goods. The type of research is applied, explanatory, quantitative and pre-experimental, as a technique the documentary review was used and the summary sheet as an instrument. Initially, a situational diagnosis of the supply of manufacturing resources and productivity was carried out, obtaining a percentage of compliance with the supply of materials 78% and a productivity of 0.042 melamine good / H-H. Subsequently, the proposed design was carried out, the implementation of the 5S methodology, a plant redistribution, improvement of the process flow chart, selection of the optimal sales forecast, establishing the least expensive aggregate production plan, analyzing the plant capacity, establishing the master production plan, establish the parameters of the planning of material requirements and propose the adequate management of inventory. Likewise, when projecting the implementation of the system, it was estimated that, by improving the MRP II system through the proposed design guidelines, it was possible to improve the percentage of supply of materials from 78% to 96%; thus it was also evidenced that productivity improved in a range from 0.042 to 0.055 well / H-H. Finally, the economic analysis was carried out, obtaining a NPV of S /. 107,715.16 which is greater than 0, an IRR of 394% greater than COK 43%, indicating that the project should be considered, since it generates benefits for the company.
