The present research work has had as main objective to apply natural lighting systems aimed at visual comfort in the architectural design of the Municipal Palace for the District of Huanchaco. In this way, five chapters with different information contents are developed, based on the aforementioned variables, being resolved descriptively, as follows: In chapter 1 the general data of the project is developed, in terms of description and context of the problem found. In chapter 2, the formulation of hypotheses, variables and their operationalization. Chapter 3 shows the detailed materials and methods according to the type of investigation, together with the techniques and instruments used to prepare a correct choice of place and cases. Chapter 4 shows the results obtained after complying with everything or described above, obtaining our design guidelines, conclusions and recommendations. Chapter 5 gives the architectural proposal itself in the place chosen in the AHH Las Lomas II, following the criteria appropriate to the project. As a result of this research, adequate criteria are established for the architectural design which are: passive light control, passive natural light collection, light quality, spatial proportion and light distribution; relevant dimensions and aimed at achieving visual comfort in the proposed object along with an optimal function and form, in order to provide the district with an articulated municipal landmark and quality. Concluding, the results determined the direct relationship between the study variables, as fundamental bases of public architecture with light quality and minimum investment, being applied in the design of the Municipal Palace for the District of Huanchaco.
