This research work was driven by the culture of environmental conservation, and can be provided with an additional and sustainable means for the treatment of wastewater, presented in our town or city of Cajamarca, through the process of sedimentation, to A system is designed with the variable flow rate and the variable of this variable as an influence on the results of the analysis of TSS (Total Suspended Solids) and BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), reducing these values below the Maximum Permissible Limits (LMP). A constant time of 30 min was used or considered to calculate the flow, with respect to the diameter of the tubes ½ “, 1“, 1 ½ “of which e obtained average flow rates of 4.09, 16.89 and 38 m3 / min. a quantity of water of 50 liters From the obtained results it can be concluded that the flow is an influential variable in the SST reduction, in this case of the 23.22% respect to the standard, the BOD the LMP are of 100 mg / l and the SST is of 150 mg / l, better reductions were obtained for systems with a flow rate of 38 m3 / min, and it can be said that the designed system is acceptable.
