This thesis deals with the study of the storm water drainage system of the “International Airport CAP. FAP. David Abenzur Rengifo” from the city of Pucallpa. The objective of this study, aims to describe the characteristics of the drainage system of the airport, which limits its efficiency of evacuation of rainwater in times of high rainfall, affecting the stability of the slope and useful life of the channel. However, by carrying out certain geotechnical, geological, hydrological and hydraulic studies in the area of influence and applying the corresponding tests both on the slopes and drains of the channels, we could identify some deficiencies to avoid damage to the drainage system and instability on the slope which could damage the runway later. In addition, we must bear in mind that there are very important factors that should be considered of an airport drainage system and especially in areas where rainfall is constant and there is a lot of runoff and the type of soil is clayey. The existing technical reports of studies carried out in the area of influence were taken as reference: geological, hydrological, geotechnical, hydraulic and soil tests of the drains of the channels and the slope of the area of interest of the International Airport Cap. Fap. David Abenzur Rengifo, who served as the real foundation for this study. Having all these factors clear, an analysis of the drainage system could be made, the evacuation performance of the rainwater in the adequate flow could be determined and the slope stability and useful life of the channel determined. In conclusion, different pre-existing studies were analyzed and all factors of the area of influence in the drains of the channels of the International Airport CAP. FAP. David Abenzur Rengifo, to be able to describe the characteristics of the drainage system and thus describe the area of interest, determine the performance of storm water drainage and establish the geotechnical parameters and stratigraphic profile of both the drains of the channel and the slope, as well as its stability and useful life of the drainage system.
