Publications about Maintenance and Repair Organizations (MRO) state that aircraft maintenance activity will increase after the pandemic lockdowns. Additionally, the number of ageing aircraft is rising, and airworthiness needs to be preserved. However, there are few studies about MRO activities and no studies have investigated the factors that directly impacts MRO services. Therefore, further research is needed to clarify this relationship. The present study aimed to establish the relationship between the number of air operations and mechanical testing service orders in a metallurgical laboratory at MRO in Lima City. The study was non-experimental, and the instrument used was a test record summary format for all variables. The data analyzed were 48 records from January 2018 to December 2021. The first test was the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, which did not show evidence of normality. The correlation test used was the Spearman test, and the results were summarized in tables of rho indicators, with the p-value included. No significant correlation was found between variables (p-value > 0,05)
