The main purpose of this study is to develop a passive thermal comfort approach for the new design of new international airports, since there are no strategies or mechanisms to naturally regulate the cold and heat inside the airports of Peru, leading to an arduous documentary review of theoretical and architectural studies, references and national and international regulations, to present how it conditions the use of various principles, such as zenithal elements to capture natural light, the use of double-height modules to generate a greater perception of space, clarity and internal lighting, the orientation of translucent elongated openings for greater visual capture and natural lighting, natural elements to break the excessive wind in winter or orienting the volumes from north to south to avoid deep sunlight in summer, among others, contribute to design or shape the efficient design to configure within the project a better comfort or thermal sensation for the users. Ultimately, this forms the basis for the design of the entire architectural object that is explored in this quantitative research paper.
