ABSTRACT This research is based on the study of wholesale banking clients to determine what factors lead them to make their banking operations through electronic channels. For this purpose our main objective is to identify the factors that increase the use of electronic channels in Scotiabank's wholesale banking customers of Agencia Trujillo. This study is non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive, in which to obtain the results of our objective we have applied as a tool a survey of closed questions to our sample of 60 companies of wholesale banking of Scotiabank. Also the authors of this thesis have made direct observation of the platforms offered by Scotiabank to its customers. With the information gathered through these tools, we have structured a conceptual framework from the basic definitions and theoretical models of technology adoption, explaining and comparing the models with the dimensions of our variable. The main responses of the survey to the wholesale banking companies have been able to obtain the information for our general and specific objective, where we have collected information to measure levels of confidence, ease of use, perceived utility and even social influence that determine the Use of electronic channels. This information is extremely important not only for Scotiabank employees to perform operations with customers, but to listen to their needs and what is required to realize their operations in a digital way, without the need to physically approach a banking agency. As indicated above, this thesis can be used to build strategies and revolutionize electronic channels based on the factors they show in the surveys. Finally, in this thesis we offer our recommendations to improve the platforms of electronic channels of Scotiabank, seeking the satisfaction of the customer according to their identified needs.
