It deals with the application of rock support methodologies in underground caverns under geological problems occurred at the Cheves 168 Mw Hydroelectric Plant, which is located in the central highlands of Peru, in the department of Lima, in the Huaura river basins and Checras, the house of machines and transformers is specifically located in the basin of the Huaura river. The basic problem of this research is knowing, how to counteract the geological problems? According to it, the general objective is the application of stone support methodologies in caves under geological problems and investigate the geotechnical behavior. In order to solve the aforementioned problem, it is important to know important data surrounding the Hydroelectric Power Plant, such as socio-economic, geological, physical-mechanical and geotechnical properties, blasting in large galleries, local geology, physical-mechanical and geotechnical properties, geological collection of the area, determination of the geotechnical characteristics of the rock mass, analysis of excavation phases, maintenance, determination of equipment and machinery. The general conclusion obtained refers to the implemented methodology of support in the cavern, the geomechanical classification of the rock mass, the investigation and the geotechnical behavior of underground excavations, recommending to determine the geotechnical parameters in the field and determine the final support for the different stages of excavation.
