ABSTRACT This improvement project was carried out in the facilities of Scania del Peru S.A. Huachipa, Lima - Peru. In this frame of reference this improvement project, consisted in the implementation of the systematic planning of the distribution methodology to optimize it in the workshop of services of Scania del Peru S.A. In the observation of the distribution of the spaces in the workshop of services we find there are spaces within it which not are taking advantage, specifically in the area of pre deliveries, which has 4 spaces and only take 2, we conclude that the main cause of this problem is the inadequate distribution of the workshop in which workplaces are assigned to an area that does not take advantage of them and are not necessary to them. This project will improve and optimize the distribution of Scania Peru S. a. maintenance workshop, since the proposal focuses primarily on analyzing that so many maintenance services are left to do for wasted space and the optimization of the distribution will allow us to increase the number of maintenance and thus the increase of the income of the company. With regard to the implementation of the single SLP use one of several tools that has, which is the balance of this line to determine the minimum number of workstations that we would need to meet the projected demand of 2016. Then proceeded to analyze performed maintenance capacities of current stations has the maintenance shop, opposite capabilities with necessary stations, thus we demonstrate that redistributing the spaces we reach the projected amount of maintenance services that the company has. With the implementation of the improvement is estimated an increase in revenue of approximately $ 154,418.82 workshop per year.
