The biol is an organic lixiviate which is generated as a subproduct of the organic matter´s transformation in organic fertilizer. As part of his environmental program, the organic waste generated by UP Tantahuatay are sent to the recycling area, where they are make into organic fertilizer, which is used to support local farmers and in recently recovered areas. As a derivative in this process, a liquid product, called boil, is obtained. Nowadays, biol is considered waste, despite the fact that some studies found that it could be used as a liquid organic fertilizer. It has been also suggested that, according to thermodynamics, biol could be used as an additive to water in watering trucks, in order to increase road watering efficiency. Mixing water and biol will result in the roads keeping wet more time, reducing dust control cost. However, we weren´t able to found any published study that either confirms o denys the efficiency of biol as a dust control agent. This study we analyzed if biol is useful as a dust control agent in UP Tantahuatay. Data was collected by direct observation and recorded in a table. We have to remark that this data has been considered reliable only when external circunstances l ike climate remains stable. Due to the small amount of reliable data, we made the hypothesis test through the Student`s test with an al alpha value of 0.05. Conclussion is that we can not assure that biol would be usefull as a dust control agent in UP Tantahuatay.
