ABSTRACT The present project aims at the implementation of Predictive maintenance based on the analysis of Oil and monitoring with electronic tool Insite and Inpower of the generator set C2000N6C. With the fulfillment of such objective will reduce the equipment failures and thus will have a more satisfied customer obtaining better economic savings. It was realized the observation of stops in the generating set of a very frequent way in that sense was compiled the technical information of the equipment included in the study; The measurement points were determined, the actions to be taken to reduce the sudden failures of the equipment were defined. To finish the work the results of the oil analysis and monitoring were analyzed with the electronic tools. According to the severity of the faults, the frequency of monitoring of the equipment was established. In the analysis of the selected aspects, problems were detected such as: poor combustion, contaminated oil, failure of some sensors, failure of the electronic parameter settings, wiring failure, configuration of the control modules of the equipment, among others. A history of information related to predictive maintenance was found: theoretical bases, objectives, components and their principles, as well as the different types of predictive maintenance that can be applied. The situational diagnosis of the generator was performed, encountering several problems that caused the team to stop suddenly. It is concluded that through oil analysis and monitoring with Insite and Inpower, that the decrease in flaws is considerable from 80 in the month of January, 2016 to two failures in the month of January, 2017; Also took into account the opportunity cost that is generated by having the equipment in operation interrupted; Its economic saving is greater for the company of $ 482,734.08 per year. Finally, it is concluded that, after the implementation of the predictive maintenance, it is evident the considerable decrease of the failures caused by the sudden shutdown of the equipment. Demonstrating 100% failure has been reduced by 94% (Figure 4-14).
