ABSTRACT The present research work has been carried out at the Pozos Ricos deposit, located in the province of Hualgayoc, the main objective has been to study the stability of the houses of this mine at a depth of 200 meters using the Mathews graphic method. which considers two parameters (hydraulic radius and number N) of relevance. In order to achieve the main objective, a systematic procedure has been followed from the cabinet design of the study area, a topographic survey linked to a topographic landmark of the Cerro Corona mine. Samples have been taken for density studies, followed by a geomechanical mapping and analysis of the compressive strength of the gables of the underground work. The results show interesting values of stability of the houses, fault and major fault, for the east, west, lying and hanging walls and the roof of the work, which has allowed to use in the deposit a method of exploitation by collapse of the roof.
