This applied work project was developed on the Samma-HDN company, which is dedicated to the production and packaging of hygiene and personal care products which are distributed directly through catalogs and sales consultants. The company has been characterized by manufacturing high quality products and satisfying end consumers. Therefore, it aims to improve the productivity of the packaging line. The work project that was developed was based on the implementation of the TPM tool in the shampoo packaging line, which in its various presentations is characterized by being highly demanding. However, in the last two years the shampoo packaging line has faced a reduction in productivity, which has manifested itself in a reduction in equipment efficiency. And the availability factor is the one that presented the greatest deficiency, the consequences of this problem are; unplanned increase in time during the process (productive maintenance), among other eventualities. For this reason, a specific analysis was carried out using 8 steps and 5 pillars of the TPM, to determine the way in which maintenance has to be carried out. One of the essential axes of the labor project was to determine the root causes of the problems of each team, a criticality analysis was carried out to establish the critical teams and implement corrective and preventive guidelines.
