In 2020, the pandemic unleashed a corporate economic crisis due to government-imposed social isolation measures, leading to the cancellation of commercial activities across various sectors for several months. This compelled many companies to adapt and reinvent themselves in a changing and challenging environment. This project presents the case of “Mirasur,“ a company in the restoration, tourism, and hospitality sectors that, in this context, utilized strategic flexibility and digital media in advertising to survive and prepare for commercial reactivation. During the lockdown, they focused on developing a strategic plan adapted to the new normality and maintaining brand presence through digital channels; post-lockdown, they implemented traditional and digital advertising strategies, aiming for a successful reopening and a 30% increase in sales within six months. Strategic planning and creative processes were crucial methodologies to achieve objectives at each stage. This included analyzing the environment and new consumers, benchmarking, product and market penetration strategies, rebranding, indoor and outdoor advertising implementation, social media innovation, storytelling, and influencer marketing, among others. The campaign surpassed expectations, with a 30% increase in digital engagement and a successful reopening, doubling sales within the specified timeframe and positioning Mirasur as an innovative and resilient brand. This project demonstrates the effectiveness of strategic flexibility and the use of digital media in advertising during crises, which, when creatively adapted and implemented, can be the keys to business continuity and success.
