The management system for terrain engineering is a value proposition that fits very well in the mining sector because in this sector the FEL methodology is used for investment projects with the purpose of improving the decision-making process and reducing costs. This system has been incorporated with the support of PMBOKs sixth ed. guide, which stands out mainly from other editions in the deployment of project management through 49 processes, segmented into 5 groups of processes and 10 areas of knowledge. The management system for terrain engineering proposed in this work seeks to optimize the effort of the organization studying and investment project in the field engineering sub-phase; this is necessary to cover the necessary actions required by office engineering, during the study or engineering of an investment project. To offer a successful tool, flowcharts, formats and a listo f deliverables have been proposed base don profesional experience that give meaning and, above all, value to the work carried out before, during and after the execution of activities in the field. To finalize and guarantee the proposal, the documents (Flow charts, formats and listo f deliverables) have been validated, developing the “Hydrogeological and geotechnical drilling campaign for pre-feasibility engineering (FEL 2) of tailings dam 1 of Picapiedra mining company” project.
