Objective: to determine the needs of family members of patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in the year 2023. Method: the study has a quantitative approach, descriptive and cross-sectional design. With a population of 50 relatives of patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The collection technique was the questionnaire, which has 45 items. Results: of the 50 family members surveyed, 70% had a high need, 26% had a medium need and 4% had a low need. Security dimension, 86% have a high need, 14% have a medium need and 0% have a low need. Information dimension, 84% have a high need, 10% have a low need and finally 6% have a medium need. Proximity dimension, 64% have a high need, 28% have a low need and finally 8% have a medium need. Support dimension, 56% have a high need, 22% have a medium need and finally 22% have a low need. Comfort dimension, 62% have a high need, 26% have a medium need and finally 12% have a low need. Conclusions: the high level predominated, followed by medium and low.
