This study describes the experience acquired during 3 years of working in the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) production chain, where there was the opportunity to develop in the area of fattening and project management. Part of the responsibility developed was to optimize the trout culture in the fattening phase, for this the effect that oxygenation with microbubbles produces on the culture of rainbow trout in a raceway type pond system was evaluated, monitoring the physical and chemical parameters and the indicators. productive. The study was carried out in the culture center of the company Piscifactoría Peña S.A.C., located in the basin of the Chonta River in the district of La Encañada, province and department of Cajamarca, at 2900 m.a.s.l.; a population of 7514 fish from pond 46 (E-46) cultured with microbubble injection and 7380 fish from pond 47 (E-47) cultured without microbubble injection were compared. The test time was 22 days (march to april 2022), at a post-feeding use of 5 hours per day. The efficiency of rainbow trout production under this oxygenation system was evaluated by means of productive indicators at treatments E-46 and E-47. The main parameters evaluated were: SGR (1.06% and 1.27% respectively), FCA (1.20 and 1.32 respectively), K-factor (1.16 for both), coefficient of variation (7.29% and 8.01% respectively), and survival rate (99.51% and 99.34% respectively). The oxygen value recorded during the test period in the E-46 oxygen-injected population was 5.73mg/L, while the non-oxygen-injected group recorded a value of 5.53 mg/L. The biomass obtained through the application of the system were as follows: 1757.10 kg for E-46, and 1671.47 kg for E-47. The application of an oxygenation system in raceway ponds has allowed a 3.6% increase in dissolved oxygen, and a 5% increase in biomass in a test pond, during the 22 days of treatment, with respect to the group grown under normal conditions. The estimated value for the total production with the use of microbubbles in the 7 fattening ponds, with an increase in oxygenation hours, is equivalent to an increase of approximately 1500 kg of biomass per month.
