Cloud forests threats have been increasing during the last years and the effects of human impacts in keystone biological groups are not well known. In that way, here we describe the influence of cattle in the diversity of dung beetles (Scarabaeinae) in the cloud forests of Wayqecha Biological Station, Cusco, Peru, analizing dung beetles as an indicator of ecosystems perturbations. The sampling was during the dry season (August 2016) and the rainy season (February 2017), using dungbait pitfall traps. We applied a nested hierarchical sampling design with four levels: Perturbated montane forest (BP), Not perturbated montane forest (BN), Perturbated scrub (MP) and Not perturbated scrub (MN). Each of them had 4 transects within 6 traps on them giving 96 traps in total per sampling. We analysed, for the rainy and the dry season, the richness and abundance, the community structure through Simpson Dominance Index and the species turnover between transects through a Cluster Analysis. Moreover, we evaluated the alfa and beta contribution in the total diversity using an Aditive Partition Analysis for the rainy season. We registered 5 species and 97 individuals for the dry season ans 5 species and 1378 individuals for the rainy season. The seasonality was the most important variable influencing the Dynamic of dung beatles, but the type of hábitat showed a high influence during the rainy season. While, the presence of cattle did not show influence in the diversity until the momento of the research.
