This research was conducted to demonstrate the benefits of performing seismic performance analysis for office buildings in Lima. The case study involved a 5-story building with 2 basements. It began with preliminary sizing and structural modeling according to the E.020 standard of the National Building Code (RNE) (2006), followed by linear seismic analysis as per the E.030 standard (2018). The main structural elements were designed under the E.060 standard of the RNE (2009). A nonlinear static Pushover analysis was conducted following ASCE 41-13 (2014) to assess structural performance under gradual seismic loads. The results demonstrated compliance with operational and life safety requirements according to Vision 2000 (1995) criteria, highlighting adequate resistance to frequent and occasional earthquakes, with controlled damage expectations under rare and very rare earthquakes in both directions. It concluded that the structure is designed to protect human life and ensure functionality during severe seismic events.
