Currently, various Peruvian coffee brands are seeking to position themselves in a digital environment to connect with their target audience. In this context, the importance of a good media strategy is prioritized, specifically digital media, to adapt to new trends. Coffee consumption in Peru has increased by 70% in the last decade (agraria.pe), so brands must adapt to their audience's requirements. This research focuses on the Expocafé Perú campaign, the most relevant coffee fair in Peru. The main objective was to increase attendance and provide greater knowledge of Peruvian coffee through the use of a new media strategy. Based on a study that allowed for better use of the media plan, an improvement was made in the 2023 edition, which included a change of location to the Casa Prado Exhibition Center. This involved the implementation of digital media as the primary means for promoting the event, with the main reason for attendance being the use of digital media (Figure 7). Expocafé Perú managed to strengthen its connection with a new target audience and promote the consumption of national coffee through a digital strategy. This work explains how the use of digital media can generate good positioning if executed in an objective manner.
