In recent years, the food industry has experienced significant growth in the manufacturing sector, driven by population growth, changes in consumption habits, and the expansion of e-commerce, increasing demand in this sector. However, meeting this growing demand has been a challenge for companies due to low efficiency in their production processes. The objective of this research was to increase production efficiency in a Peruvian bakery due to excessive waste and unproductive times caused by equipment stoppages and disorder. To achieve this, a proposal was implemented using Lean Manufacturing tools such as work standardization, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Gemba Walk. As a result, efficiency increased by 15.14%, reaching 84.77%. Waste was reduced from 19.5% to 11.11%, unproductive times decreased, and the OEE indicator increased from 70.01% to 85.09%, , thereby enhancing equipment availability. This improvement was due to the reduction in Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) from 3.84h to 2.92h and the increase in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) from 375.69h to 472.5h. Finally, the improvement led to an increase of 45 thousand soles in sales and a cost saving of 25 thousand soles, demonstrating the project's viability according to financial indicators and the project's favorable results.
