This research is oriented to provide options that can contribute to the environment and at the same time can be a long-term sustainable option for the design and manufacture of concrete. With this premise, this research seeks to design and elaborate a concrete focused on sidewalks, which should have a f'c 210 kg/cm2, using treated water from the San Borja Treatment Plant. This treated water comes from the Surco River and is processed at the PTA of San Borja with various physical and chemical treatments, mainly for the use of green areas in the district. This research has four main chapters: The first chapter presents the problem analysis, background and objectives that were raised for the development of the research; The second chapter, has the concepts, legal bases and normed standards that will serve to understand the study of treated water and the tests that will be performed on the concrete mix; The third chapter focuses on the steps of the design of the solution, development of the solution, the study of the physical and chemical properties of the water, study of fine and coarse aggregates, design and elaboration of the proposed concrete mix implementing the treated water from the PTA and the tests in hardened state necessary to validate the project, according to the current regulations. In the same way, a fourth chapter is presented where it is analyzed and verified with this research, that concrete made with treated water extracted from the San Borja treatment plant, is an alternative to potable water for the design and elaboration of concrete, being this a sustainable and environmental option with better quality and lower costs than conventional concrete designs. Therefore, the concrete mix was designed and prepared based on treated water from the San Borja PTA, preparing 27 test specimens for their respective physical tests at their respective ages of 7, 14 and 28 days. Reaching and exceeding the required strength of 210 kg/cm2, where it was found that from day 14, the tests already exceeded the required average. For this reason, the compression test was performed according to NTP 339.034, where it can be seen that by day 28, a f'c 233.90 kg/cm2 was obtained, increasing by 11.38% with the usual concrete design, evaluating the feasibility of this sample.
