The health sector in Peru, specifically the dental sector skyrocketed in recent years, both in terms of specialists and private and public infrastructure. One of the main aspects, but not deeply studied in terms of scientific studies and research, is the management of dental products, which are fundamental for the development of the dental center. In this document, a practical investigation of the implementation of the Lean Service methodology in a dental center located in a district in Lima, Peru, will be carried out. For this purpose, the Value Stream Map, KPIs, 5s, and PDCA tools will be used as fundamental pillars of the study, as well as the problem tree, Deming cycle, ABC analysis, Ishikawa diagram, etc. as support tools, with the objective of improving the management of dental products and optimizing the resources invested, through the off of waste, sort out the premises, classification of materials, process control, among others. In a period of 3 months and constantly application according to the solutions proposed to the main agents of the center. With a successful result thanks to the shortening of time in 26% the development of the processes.
