A consortium of schools in the United States used to hold in-person competitions on stock market simulations as part of their finance courses. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, the schools were forced to close, which led to the cancellation of the scheduled activities organized by this consortium. As a result, a virtual means was required for students to participate from their homes. To address this, a web application was implemented to allow these students to engage in real-time simulated stock market trading competitions. To achieve this objective, the project was divided into four phases: analysis, design, implementation, and validation. For the analysis, research was conducted on technological tools to develop the web application. React was used for the web user interface, and Spring was used for the back-end system. The application was deployed in the cloud, replicating Kubernetes instances for greater availability. The use of WebSockets helps to simulate real-time transactions that students perform during competition times, allowing them to see the impact of their stock purchases and sales immediately. The validation of the project was carried out through the signing of minutes. The results obtained from the implementation of the web application improved the connectivity, reach, efficiency, interactivity, and learning experience of the dynamic.
