This professional proficiency work presents the design and implementation of a fire protection system for the Coroimport offices in Santiago de Surco, Lima, based on NFPA 72 and 101 standards. The research begins with an exhaustive review of previous cases and relevant literature, establishing a solid theoretical framework that underscores the growing need for advanced fire detection and response systems. The research work presents four important pillars for the development of the solution. Firstly, a diagnosis of the Coroimport offices is carried out to validate according to NFPA 101 standard to determine what fire protection the infrastructure must have. Secondly, based on the fire protection conditions, we will focus on designing the detection and alarm system in accordance with NFPA 72 standard, in which we will design the distribution of initiation devices, notification devices, and alarm panel. Thirdly, we will develop the implementation plan through sequential construction processes of the operability of the alarm detection system. Finally, each installed device, from detectors to the intelligent panel, is evaluated to determine the correct operability and proper functioning. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in emergency response capability, highlighting the importance of integrating fire protection technologies adapted to current standards to ensure the safety of occupants.
