The present investigation addresses the case of an international freight agency in Peru, which has problems with the efficient management of information generated in the import processes of its internal clients. In this sense, the general objective of the research is to propose an integrated information system between the international freight agency and its internal clients. In this regard, an applied qualitative methodological approach was used, based on the documentary review of the company, bibliographic analysis of academic articles and semi-structured interviews with personnel from the foreign trade area and the innovation and technology area. In this way, it is suggested that the best way to resolve the company's problematic situation is through the adoption of emerging technologies specific to logistics 4.0, which is more viable with the implementation of tailor-made software given the specific needs of the international freight agency. This alternative will allow the company to have considerable savings by reducing fines for deferred shipments and logistical overruns, in addition to improving the operational efficiency of the import process, reducing the workload of foreign trade personnel and other competitive benefits. Finally, in the conclusions section, the benefits of logistics 4.0 are highlighted and how they can impact achieving an integrated information system, as well as recommendations to the company to incorporate these technologies in the short term, in order to position itself in the market.
