The ability of the expert company in electromechanical projects to carry out its projects is affected by the lack of adequate strategic planning, resulting in the inability to optimize value chains and provide the necessary management tools. These difficulties were identified in research conducted this year at Alyabe, a well-established company in Lima that focuses on electromechanical projects. The main challenge lies in identifying the aspects that need to be addressed when formulating a strategic and operational plan to increase competitiveness in the sector. Given the need for competitiveness in companies dedicated to electromechanical projects, greater precision is required in legal, organic and functional aspects. The SWOT evaluation matrix, based on information gathered from employees, workers and clients, is confirmed as an integral instrument to consolidate partial evaluations and derive solutions for administrative, financial, market management and functional interrelationship aspects. It is concluded that the company faces delays and poor planning due to the lack of an adequate project management system. Therefore, the implementation and development of a project feasibility and evaluation department is proposed. This will improve the accuracy of cost and time estimates, thus reducing delays and cost overruns on projects, in addition to ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
