The objective of this research was to improve the attendance control of students through the implementation of an intelligent facial recognition system, this arose with the need of teachers, in which daily manual records were made. For this, the research methodology is quantitative, the SCRUM methodology was used for the implementation of the intelligent system based on its good practices of software development according to the context of the problematic situation. A probabilistic sample was used based on the student population of 550 student attendance records, covering a sample of 119 student attendance records. As for the results, it is mentioned that the normal attendance times are around 4 to 6 seconds, while with the use of the intelligent system the times oscillate between 2 seconds; at the same time, there is a difference between the average time of the manual attendance registers and the facial recognition register, where the times for the facial recognition system are shorter than those of the manual system. Finally, it is concluded that it has been possible to develop an intelligent facial recognition system to improve attendance control, corroborating the improvement of the average times of 5.15 seconds and with the implemented system 2.1 seconds, thus having a significant influence.
