In the construction field, efficient project management is crucial to ensure quality, minimize costs and meet established deadlines. However, it is common to face discrepancies between plans and technical specifications, which can lead to significant problems during execution. To address these challenges, the adoption of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology is proposed, which revolutionizes the way construction is planned, designed and executed. BIM is based on the creation of three-dimensional digital models that integrate detailed information on all aspects of the project, from architecture to electrical and sanitary installations. These models allow for accurate visualization and efficient coordination between different disciplines, identifying potential conflicts before physical construction. In this research, the impact of BIM on the project ““Desembarcadero Pesquero Artesanal La Cruz““ was examined, located in La Cruz, province of Tumbes. Using tools such as Revit and Navisworks, the BIM model created helps to discover and resolve various differences and conflicts between the original designs. This study demonstrates how BIM improves design management, reduces errors during construction and optimizes the use of resources, contributing to the delivery of more efficient and higher quality projects. The results obtained underline the importance of adopting BIM as a standard practice in the construction industry. By providing an integrated platform for multidisciplinary collaboration and virtual simulation, BIM not only improves coordination between work teams, but also promotes more accurate planning and more effective project execution. In summary, this research argues that BIM implementation not only optimizes the construction process, but also strengthens the sector's capacity to meet current and future challenges, thus ensuring sustainable and efficient infrastructure development.
