This thesis was developed on the María Parado de Bellido avoidance road, located in the district of Chulucanas, province of Morropón, department of Piura. This road is of great importance since it connects with other hamlets, in these hamlets there are lemon and mango farms, therefore, during harvest times there are difficulties with fluid traffic, since the roads that lead to those lands cultivation areas are unpaved. The main objective of this project is to carry out the study of vehicular traffic and with the results obtained to make the proposal for the most optimal type of pavement for the road. For the design of the pavement we are guided by the highway manual: Soils Geology, Geotechnics and Pavements, National Building Regulations: Standard C.E 010 Urban Pavements. A comparative analysis was carried out between the types of designs of both rigid pavement and flexible pavement, at the same time we compared costs between both pavements. The respective soil studies were carried out on each pit, obtaining a CBR of 16.88% for the subgrade, which indicates that it is a good subgrade and does not need to be stabilized. At the same time, the respective quality tests of the materials were carried out. that make up the structure of the pavement; Also the traffic study, which is very important and indispensable for its design, obtained an ESAL of 1.193469.7 E.E. for flexible pavement and for rigid pavement an ESAL of 1.376517.2 E.E. The data obtained from laboratories and traffic studies will help us determine the most appropriate type of pavement for the avoidance route, which in the future can be carried out and thus be able to improve walkability and so that they can have a better quality of life and growth. economic for the population
