Determine if the HearWho Pro application is effective in identifying adults at risk for hearing loss at the “Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo” during the period of June 2024. Materials and methods: The diagnostic test-type study, included a total of 91 people between the ages of 50 - 65 years old, in the otorhinolaryngology service who attended the consultory outpatient clinic of the “Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo” during the period June 2024. We also calculated the sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, area under the ROC curve of the HearWHO Pro mobile application, assessing whether it is effective in identifying the risk of hearing loss. Results: The HearWHO Pro application, with a cut point for risk of hearing loss hearing loss <50 points, presented a sensitivity of 86%(95% CI 0.78 - 0.95), a specificity of 92%(95% CI 0.81 - 1.03), a positive predictive value of 0.97%(95% CI 0.92 - 1.01), a negative predictive value of 72%(95% CI 0. 56 - 0.87), a positive likelihood ratio of 10.8%(95% CI 2.85 - 40.93) and a negative likelihood ratio of 0.15%(95% CI 0.08 - 0.27), area under the ROC curve of 0.950. Evidencing that the HearWho Pro application has acceptable validity to identify the risk of hearing loss. Conclusions: The HearWHO Pro application is effective in identifying the risk of hearing loss in adults in the “Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo” during the period of June 2024
