The constant search for new and improved materials and products drives the industry and sustains it as technology and science advance, without neglecting the necessary attention to the environmental aspect. Indeed, and in a particular way, civil engineering and more specifically concrete technology is not alien to new and improved products, verifying in the market a whole range of additives that modify their performance. From the search in the literature on improvements in concrete with a strong environmental contribution, relevant studies were found that show an improvement in compressive strength when using PET fibers in 210 Kg/cm2 concrete, considering then as a research problem, the experimental verification of the influence of these fibers incorporated into the concrete, on its resistance to compression, and, if applicable, numerically study the results in order to determine its evolution according to the doses of PET used added to the concrete 210 Kg/ cm2. For this, an experience was designed with eight doses of PET and a specific standard or reference for comparison ─with three repetitions in all cases─, evaluating the resistance to compression at 28 days. The results show that there is a statistically significant difference (p -value = 0.00 < 0.05) between the treatments, also observing that small doses of PET manage to improve the resistance to compression, specifically the 1.5% that achieved the best result, while higher and lower doses did. degrade. The statistical comparison of each PET dose against the specific standard shows a significant difference, except with the 1% dose.
