Abstract: En la presente investigación se determinaron las propiedades mecánicas de la madera de Pinus maximinoi de una plantación de 19 años, en dos niveles longitudinales. Se evaluaron cinco árboles provenientes de Oxapampa, Perú. Los ensayos mecánicos se ejecutaron según normas técnicas peruanas en condición verde. Para evaluar el comportamiento longitudinal de las propiedades mecánicas se realizó un ANOVA, utilizando un diseño en bloque completamente al azar (DBCA) y la prueba t-student y determinar si existe diferencia significativa entre los niveles. Se encontró que la madera de Pinus maximinoi es de muy baja resistencia mecánica. El MOE en flexión estática, RM en compresión paralela y tenacidad fueron mayores en el nivel basal comparado con el medio, en el resto de ensayos no se encontraron diferencias significativas. En base a los resultados obtenidos, se propone el uso de la madera de Pinus maximonoi en: Cajonería, mueblería, material de recubrimiento, pallets de un solo uso y carpintería en general.
In the present investigation, the mechanical properties of Pinus maximinoi wood from a 19year-old plantation were determined, in two longitudinal levels. Five trees from Oxapampa, Peru were evaluated. The mechanical tests were carried out according to Peruvian technical standards in a humid condition. To evaluate the longitudinal behavior of the mechanical properties, an ANOVA was performed, using a completely randomized block design (DBCA) and the t-student test to determine if there is a significant difference between the levels. Pinus maximinoi wood was found to have very low mechanical resistance. The MOE in static flexion, RM in parallel compression and tenacity were higher at the baseline level compared to the mean, in the rest of the trials no significant differences were found. Based on the results obtained, the use of Pinus maximonoi wood is proposed in: Drawers, furniture, covering material, single-use pallets and carpentry in general.
