Introduction: Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) is characterized by being a frequent acute event throughout the world. According to the WHO, CVD is defined as “a rapidly developing clinical syndrome due to a focal disturbance of brain function of vascular origin and more than 24 hours long (1). It is generally classified into 2 types: ischemic and hemorrhagic; the ischemic type represents 85%, followed by the hemorrhagic type with 15% (2). Objective: Determine the level of know ledge and attitude regarding the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease using the Cincinnati and FAST scales in human medicine interns in the city of Cusco, 2024. Methods: The study is observational, cross-sectional, prospective and analytical. The instrument will consist of 3 parts. The first collects sociodemographic information regarding age, sex, university of origin, hospital where they do their internship, marital status, lives alone, services where they are rotating in their internship. The second part evaluates knowledge and the third part evaluates attitudes. The questionnaire was applied to a total of 155 human medicine interns. Results: 46.5% of human medicine interns have a medium level of knowledge, 40.0% have a low level of knowledge and only 13.5% have a high level of know ledge. 74.2% of human medicine interns have a positive attitude regarding the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease using the Cincinnati and FAST scales, 25.2% have an indifferent attitude and finally 0.6% of human medicine interns have an attitude negative. Regarding the level of knowledge and attitude regarding the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease using the Cincinnati and FAST scales, human medicine interns with a low level of knowledge have a positive attitude with 25.2%; Those with medium knowledge also have a positive attitude with 35.5% and finally those with high knowledge have a positive attitude of 13.5%. Regarding cognitive attitude, 79.4% of human medicine interns have a positive attitude regarding the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease using the Cincinnati and FAST scales, 94.2% have a positive emotional attitude and finally 41.8% of Human medicine interns present an indifferent and positive behavioral attitude. The medical interns of the UAC and UNSAAC present a low level of knowledge regarding knowledge of cerebrovascular disease according to the Cincinnati scale with 49.40% and 52.80%. Regarding knowledge of cerebrovascular disease according to the FAST scale, the medical interns of the UAC and UNSAAC present a medium level of knowledge with 51.8% and 61.1%, of which both have a tendency to level low respectively. Regarding the relationship between both variables, it is established that there is a medium positive relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude regarding the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease using the Cincinnati scale and FAST in human medicine interns in the city of Cusco, 2024. Conclusions: There is a medium positive relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude regarding the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease using the Cincinnati and FAST scales in human medicine interns in the city of Cusco, 2024; with a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.344.
