-- The purpose of the present study was to isolate, identify, and assess the content of steroidal glycoalkaloids (SGAs) from leafs of Solanum albidum Dunal and Solanum oblongifolium Dunal belonging to province San Ignacio, Cajamarca. Also, it was determined their citotoxicity and antimicrobial activity. The steroidal glycoalkaloids were identified by means of chromatography and infrared spectrophotometric analyses. The content of steroidal glycoalcaloids was quantified by automatic potentiometric titulation using the inflection point. The citotoxic activity of SGAs was observed in sea urchin embryos Tetrapygus niger. The antimicrobial and antifungal activities were evaluated by using the plate counting method, including the following type strains respectively: Escherichia coli (ATCC 8739), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 9027), Salmonella enterica (ATCC 14028), Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538), Aspergillus brasiliensis (ATCC 16404), and Candida albicans (ATCC 10231), which showed that activity
