--- This research work has been prepared with the objective of determining the relationship between higher education not University and national economic development, based on the experience of the Institute of higher education technological systems ¨SISE¨ Peruvian private. Therefore, the unit of analysis chosen is the SISÈ Institute since it constitutes our stage of study. Likewise, the situation of non-university higher education at the national level institutes, is referenced by which we have felt it appropriate to make a mapping of Peruvian education since the beginning of our history to the present day. Also, is an analysis of the educational context in which develops actions of technological colleges and which start the activities of the mentioned Institute. It should be noted that this is a qualitative research, with exploratory design of case study, with drive holistic, given that we focus on the specific case of the SISÈ Institute, which seeks to reflect the contribution that provide non university colleges to the national economy. To do so, have been used as tools and techniques of research documentary review, the structured survey and the focus group or target group. In this sense, the present research was to conclude, among other things, that there is a general recognition on the strategic importance that has the education offered at technological colleges in the economic development of the country, all of which has influenced the interest that have put the State and civil society in optimizing the development of this type of training. On the other hand, it is concluded that vocational training policies arise with greater emphasis in the 1990s to the present, by which develop initiatives related to the issuance of regulations, the signature of agreements promoting active employment and the articulation of strategies of vocational training, such as employment promotion policies. Also out is the impetus that has been given to the job training programs aimed to raise the standards of reinsertion of the unemployed into the working market and the inclusion of young people into productive employment. All this has led to reassess technology higher education, therefore, graduates of this mode of study allow to develop the areas of greater economic potential in the context of globalization, therefore, skill requirement has become increasingly latent and institutions like it if allow satisfy this demand, both in quantity and in quality.
