--- Objective: Identify the relationship between one or more risk factors for gallstone disease with a specific vesicular type of calculation, according to the classification of cholelithiasis. Patients and Methods: We performed a quantitative investigation of type Descriptive correlational, observational, and prospective from November 2010 through December 2011. We selected 50 patients cholecystectomy for chronic cholecystitis the diagnosis of calculous, Octavio Mongrut Hospital, using a non-probability sampling accidental type. They collected data on risk factors for gallstone disease such as age, sex, parity, obesity, family history, diet, etc.. by an unstructured interview cholecystectomized patients, and analyzed by direct observation of different types of stones found after surgery. Were constructed multinomial logistic regression models to determine the relationship between different risk factors and different types of calculation. Results: The risk factors most frequently found 80% were female, over 40 years 56%, 48% family history and 46% multiparous. The most common type of stone was calculating 46% cholesterol mixed type. The results of the correlation between different risk factors and the different types of calculation were not significant. Conclusion: Not determined a direct relationship between a given risk factor and a specific type of biliary stones, the etiology may be multifactorial. Key words: Facts of risk, cholelithiasis, cholesterol
