--- OBJECTIVE: To determine the correlation of cerebral perfusion computed tomography and clinical status of patients with ischemic stroke. METHODOLOGY: The study was correlational, prospective descriptive cross-sectional. For this we worked with 33 patients who had ischemic stroke treated in the Central Hospital tomography PNP “Luis N. Sáenz“ during the period from July to December 2015. For the study measures of dispersion and central tendency were estimated, and for qualitative absolute and relative frequencies were estimated. To establish the relationship between brain perfusion and clinical status in patients with ischemic stroke, the test was used Chi square considering p <0.05 as significant value. RESULTS: 73.4% of patients with ischemic stroke have a higher commitment of penumbra area and 13.3% have a higher commitment of the infarcted area. The 1.23 mL / 100g of blood volume per unit of tissue corresponding to the compromised area larger area of infarction, 9.25 mL / 100 g / min., Volume of blood flow corresponding to the compromised area of greatest area infarction, the difference between income 13.97 blood flow is compromised and corresponds to the area of greatest area of infarction. The lobes most affected were the parietal (63.6%); the hemisphere largely affected by ischemic stroke is the right (66.7%) and compromised cerebral artery was the mean (63.6%). 40% of patients who took him tomography showed a moderate state of consciousness, 86.7% have a history of hypertension, 40% history of diabetes and 66.7% have presence of hemiparesis. It is observed evidence that there are relationship between a history of hypertension and penumbra and infarction (p=0.029), moreover It is observed significant relationship between the affected lobe and the area penumbra and infarction (p=0.000). CONCLUSIONS: Cerebral perfusion computed tomography is related to the clinical status of patients with ischemic cerebrovascular accident KEYWORDS: cerebral perfusion, computed tomography, ischemic stroke.
